Zen - relaxing the brain Shirodhara is a relaxing head and scalp therapy where warm medicated oils are poured from a special vessel combining copper, bronze and silver onto the center of the forehead, inducing a mental state of deep relaxation. As the warm oil is pouring ever so slowly on the scalp, forehead area it is calming your mind and thus, the nervous system. It actually helps to melt away the chattering of the mind, leaving your mind clearer and calm. Excellent for insomnia.
Shirodhara helps to heal the body at the root level of disease, by calming imbalances in our mind and disturbances in our emotions. It leaves you feeling in a heavenly state for days to come.
We also include the stomach area, the shoulder area and a Tibetan foot treatment with Shirodhara. A controlled flow of warm oil is gently released from the vessel over the "Ajana" or third eye chakra. The oil then streams down the "Sahashra" or crown chakra, which magnifies the senses, disperses negative electrical impulses that accumulate in the the forehead from stress, reverses imbalances within the body, rejuvenates the face and renews the sweetness of life. This is one of the most unique therapies available for reducing stress and enhancing cellular intelligence and immunity.
